I do not know if I invented this or not - but I am SO excited about this!!! I just got the canvas background and was playing with it. I also got the "All Heart" wheel. So I had them both out and inked. I got the idea to ink the canvas stamp and then wheel it with the wheel. THEN take my impression on paper. I think it TOTALLY looks just like Cross Stitching! I could not wait to put this out here to see what you guys think! I did not even make a real card out of it yet!

Am I missing something? It seems that if you wheel over the already inked canvas, it would contaminate your red ink cartridge. Does it not??
I just got these two products and will love to try this technique. =)

well it would, definitely, if you were wheeling a light color over a dark color on the canvas stamp. Yes. But I used Pretty in pink on the canvas, and real red in the wheel. Then I used bordering blue on canvas and still the real red in the wheel. So it was always a shade much lighter than red on the canvas. So it did not really have a bad effect on the wheel. Plus, if you just wheel a few times on paper it will get back to the normal red color. I was not afraid to try it because it is so easy to re-ink the wheel cartridge I knew the ink would cover up anything that came off the canvas. But yes, good point, you WOULD have to watch your colors so you would not ruin a very light colored cartridge!
