This card was for a demonstrator swap. We could each choose a new set from the Fall/Winter Collection. I picked this set because I really loved those little people decorating the tree, wrapping the present, etc. I just love stamping and colouring so this set was right up my alley.
I stamped in stazon on watercolour paper and used a variety of ink pads, markers and reinkers to do the colouring in. (Three cheers to Vicky Garrett aka summerthyme64 for her watercolouring lessons at the Stampin' Girls Convention in Ottawa!!!) The image is matted on bashful blue, and raised on dimensionals. I managed to make the most of my groovy guava ribbon by adding it "under" the image but really it doesn't go all the way across. TIP: dab the cut ends in Fray Check and it won't unravel. The lower portion of the card is the Prints Designer Series in certainly celery and the sentiment is stamped in groovy guava. The card measures 3 1/4" by 6 5/8", sized to fit the short open-end envelopes, same size as the "Long Notes".
It wasn't too painful to make 34 of these (not counting trial runs). It's always at about the 1/3 mark that I start hating swaps and wondering why I do it. Then I get my new cards swapped back and I can't wait for the next one!
