My favorite sister-in-law's birthday is this weekend, so I wanted to create a bright and fun card. Mission accomplished with this one!
Check out Jen Balcer's awesome tutorial Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers to learn how easy it is to cover chipboard with designer paper. I added a bit of Clear Stardust in the squiggles on the yummy designer paper. I layered up the silk flowers with some bling and stuck it to the chipboard flower with a bit of Sticky Tape. The flower is raised up on dimensionals and just jumps from the card.
I used my scalloped decorative scissors on the black Bazzill paper strips, poked holes with my paper piercer and outlined the holes with my white gel pen.
I decided to not put a sentiment on the front of the card because (1) there wasn't much room and (2) it pretty much screams Happy Birthday anyway.
Thanks for looking.
