I had to do a sympathy card for a co-worker of DH's. I was all set to do the conservative card. Then I thought, nope, this is gonna be a colorful sympathy card celebrating this 95 year old woman's life. I wouldn't be surprised if she resembled the fairy image when she was younger. It is a cotton scrap that I taped onto a piece of distressed cardstock. I used some primas and a little lace for the ribbon. I stamped the sympathy sentiment right onto the cotton. This is a fast way to make a card. 20 minutes! That's really fast for me.

Oh, Denise, I think your card is very pretty! Anyone should appreciate such a beautiful card. I love the flowers sprinkled over the muted flowered background. I think the whole card sends love, and that's what we need in time of sorrow. TFS!
May God bless, Stormy

This certainly is not a generic sympathy card!! With the back story, I think it is very appropriate. Perhaps mention to the family how much this image reminded you of the woman you are honoring.
