A little coloring book for my son for our recent trip.
I stamped the images from Circus Train and On Ice (he loves trains and goalies) on 1/4 sheets of white printer paper. Then I trimmed those pages down by 1/4 inch. I punched two holes through the pages and secured them with a twist-tie in the same fashion as a faux knot done with ribbon.
The cover is a 1/2 sheet of Tempting Turquoise scored at 5 1/4 inches from each end (leaving a 1/4 inch spine). Then the front cover was scored at 1 inch below the previous score line. The cover was attached to the pages with sticky strip on both the front and the back. Once I get my cutter kit, I may perforate the pages so they can be torn out (or not!).
The engine image was stamped in Basic Black on Whisper White and colored with markers. The smoke is stamped in Going Gray. The tab reads "Color" and is inked with Basic Black and stamped on Real Red - punched with the round tab punch. The mat for the engine is an old piece of Fossil Stone done with Real Red and Pixie Pink that was too bright to do much else with (it's been hanging around for a while). Alex's name was stamped in Cool Caribbean and outlined with Tempting Turquoise using the Pure and Simple Alphabet.
I think I'll do this for the few kids who will be attending my son's 2nd birthday party next month as a goodie bag addition.
