My 7 year old niece, Tori, made this for me while we were stamping. I am very proud of her, and I am wild about this card. While we were stamping, I helped her with life lessons. The image of the woman with the flower basket (courtesy of American Art Stamps) was not perfect. Tori tried to stamp the image, but the ink did not fully contact the paper. Tori was mad. I said, "Try again." She tried again, and once again, the image was not completely stamped. She got mad. I said, "Try again." She stomped her foot and was ready to cry. I turned over all the images that I had stamped and showed her mistake after mistake after mistake. I said, "Look, baby, everyone messes up. Even me. Just try again." So, she tried again and got a good image this time. Then, she helped me with life lessons! I had out a couple of sets of stamps and some loose stamps. Instead of worrying about what stamp belonged to what set, she just selected from all the available stamps and put down what she liked best. She used a flower petal from Mixed Bouquet for a background/texture stamp. I thought that was great! I never would have thought of that. We didn't have a hole punch available, so she made a hole in the card with a pencil to thread the needle through. Voila. Instant creativity with limited products. She is terrific! I hope you like her card!
