I normally stick to techniques and have never before included instructions for a 3D item, but one of my girls specifically requested beaded pens and I love them making them, so why not?
Text on card reads:
Supplies:
RSVP Pen by Pentel
Sticky Strip
Designer Paper –or- white label to stamp on (1.25” x 3.25”)
Red Liner Tape Sheet (I use O’ So Sticky Tape from www.pennywisearts.com) (cut to 1.25” x 3.25”)
Clear Microbeads
Stamps/ink/markers of your choice (wheels and small images work best)
If using a white label—stamp and color as desired. Wrap label around barrel of pen.
If using Designer Paper—cut a piece of sticky strip 3.25” and put it over the writing on the pen. Wrap paper around barrel of pen so that each end is on the Sticky Strip
Warm your piece of sheet tape by rubbing between your hands. Peel the paper backing from your piece of sheet tape and wrap carefully around the pen barrel. Peel off red liner.
Roll pen in microbeads being careful not to touch tape or the loose beads.
Once pen is covered well in beads—roll between palms to secure beads completely
Optional roll in Dazzling Diamonds Glitter as a final step.
