I used a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece of card stock as the base. I folded small flaps on either end, and then had them meet in the middle. I punched out the square on each small flap while it was still folded.

I love this card! What are the measurements you used? I have been trying to make this same type of card, however it never comes out right. Thanks for sharing!

Stampinlacey,
Sorry for the delay, but here are the mearsurements you asked for. I used a regular 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece of card stock. The two flaps on either end are both 1 1/2" in width and folded back. Then I folded the two flaps together in the middle folding forward (around 1 3/8" each side). The inside middle part of the card (where the birds are) is 2 3/4". I hope that makes sense
