I made these a while ago and just remembered that they would be appropriate for this week's Thursday challenge. These are very fast and easy to make. The coasters are made with tumbled tiles purchased at Lowe's and backed with cork purchased at Ikea - really cheap! What I did was stamp the BG, then the butterfly with the Palatte Hybrid black ink. I then dried the ink with heat gun and sprayed with Krylon Fixative. I then colored the butterfly blending with the blender and dried again and sprayed with K. Fixative. I then lined the coaster with Krylon gold leafing pen. When completely dried I sprayed with a spray sealer to waterproof - one needs that when one spills coffee, etc. I then glued a cork bottom, which come in the exact size of the tile, to the bottom.

This is so sweet you have inspired em to make some tonight. maybe I'll have them done for Mother's Day for my mommy.
Questions- Where do you get your cork backing from (I can't find any anywhere) and what do you use to attach it with?
