I made these for my card sale in October. They are made from dies purchased from Some Assembly Required and are a very ingenius piece of engineering. Each will fold flat for mailing. The tree that is hanging inside the clear globe is metallic. One side is gold and the other side is silver. I decorated the bases different on each one. I also made a holder from cardstock which was decorated on the front and tied with a ribbon. They were very time consuming taking about two hours to complete each globe. The back two are dark purple and burgandy.

The dies are from www.someassemblyrequired.com. They are pretty spendy. I wouldn't have purchased them if I didn't think I could sell the product because of the cost. They also have pre-cut kits. I originally saw them at convention.

Thanks for the lovely pictures. I make Christmas cards for my Father-in-Law (92) to send out each year, and this is this year's project. Glad to know about the 2 hours per. Would love an upload of the holder, as I haven't figured out how he will send these yet. Any tips as to what does and doesn't work for paper for the base and trees (, for example weight or brand of paper)? I got their 5 mil plastic sheets for the globe, and the accessories stamp set to place birds. Can't wait to get started.
