9" x 7" unfinished wood frame from Michael's. Insert is for a 4" x 6" photo or in this case, framed art.
For last week's Ways To Use It challenge -- metal. I used Hodgpodge Hardware kit in Aged Copper. At first, I didn't care for this very dark set of metal until I tried sanding it with a buffing block, which removes some of the aged color and lets the beautiful copper show through. I did that on the nameplate/brads on this frame and also the brads in the center of the Prima flowers.
There are also "metal" accents on the Primas -- I used Future Floor wax in an AquaPainter, dipped in Super Bronze Pearl Ex and painted metal accents onto the flowers! Pearl Ex was also used to paint the doodle & flower in the frame's insert.
For the brads on the "Family" insert, I used SU's copper brads from the Vintage brad set (which are a very bright copper) and aged them a bit by tapping them onto the Timber Brown StazOn ink. Family insert is matted with brushed copper metallic cardstock.
A bit of twill and copper metallic cord finishes off the frame. Is that enough metal for you? LOL!
