So let's just say my sympathy cards leave something to be desired (Thankfully I have not needed many!) I tried to do emerging colors with a non-neutral base (pale plum) so that may be the problem with this one. I am planning to send a card to a family who lost their daughter in the VT shooting. But I don't want to send an ugly card...HELP! I need your suggestions, send 'em my way!

This is not an ugly card....How wonderful that you are sending this to a family who must be suffering unbearably right now....I think it is beautiful and would be welcomed.

I like the background. But if you don't, make an focal image on a seperate piece that will cover part of the panel, mat it a few times, attach it, then add a sentiment.
But I'm going to use this backgruond idea myself. Way cool.
Rest assured, the family will appreciate any show of thoughtfulness during this terrible time.
