I recently saw the tutorial on this site on how to make the micro bead pens...can't find it now though :(...so a link would help greatly for me too.
Anyway, I love the pens! They seem super-easy to make and they look so expensive! I just am having trouble finding the beads here where I live. I have the Tacky Tape, paptterned or stamped paper, but no beads (sigh). None to be found at my LSS or Hobby Lobby, that's about all I have to choose from here...any suggestions?

Measure your pen where you are going to put the beads.
cut your paper the same dimensions.
stamp if you are going to (bold colors work best)
place strips of Sticky strip on the front and back of paper
attach the paper to the pen then take the red plastic off of the front of the paper
place an additional strip over the seam
heat for a few seconds with a heat gun
roll in micro beads
heat again with a heat gun
place in a sandwich bag and press the microbeads into place
You should be able to make about 12 pens with one SU! thing of microbeads.
I think that is pretty good!
As for Sticky Strip, you should have plenty with one roll, each person is only using a little over a foot, and the roll is 10 yards. Multiple rolls are nice so you can start one at each side of the table and in the middle!
another tip; put an additional piece of sticky strip over the seam, before you put on the beads, if you are using designer paper or cardstock. This will prevent a space between the beads where they can get knocked off.
Hope you all enjoy this, it would make a great class! I demo'ed this at our monthly meeting and all of my sidelines/uplines/downline LOVED it!
