I went to an "Innovative Acrylics" class last night taught by Janine Weise from Rochester Info Courses in NY. We painted an entire poster board listening to music. The goal was to cover the board...and just paint...nothing in particular...just be moved by color, feelings and music. Then we took a view finder (like a mat board you'd find in a frame--square/rectangle cut out of black or white paper) and moved it around the painting to find "gems" of little scenes. One of my view finders was a white rectangle with 3 consecutive squares punched out. It was such fun to discover what was in there.
I started cutting a few sections out tonight...then down to my studio to stamp doodles in black. This is my first creation! I just LOVE how it turned out. Enjoy!!!!! Thanks for looking.

So pretty! What a great idea to create a BG that will be used for lots of projects! This card is great, especially the way you used the fiber and spiral clip on the flower. Such nice touches!

WOW --- love all the color and texture on this card. Whenever I feel bored or frustrated or in a creative slump I take some watercolor paper and random bottles of acrylic paint and go crazy. Sometimes I cut them to cardfront size or punch shapes from them but usually I leave the sheets whole until I am actually making something.
It's such a fun way to create colorful backgrounds and they in turn spark a wave of creativity.
I'm glad you had fun and even happier you shared with us!
