So I cased my case, lol. Does that make me a basket case? This was DH's Valentine's Day card. I had been meaning to try this again with the flap that folds down and hadn't, so thought I would redo it in "manly" colors for hubby..lol
Used brilliant blue for the card base, this is a regular size card but scored at 2-1/8 on each side to be a center opening. On the base card I stamped the weave stamp from CHF and then stamped a rose stamp I had since beginning stamping. On the other side I stamped the retired stipple plaid bg and then sponged the edges with more brilliant blue. Tied on a piece of black gingham ribbon. For the flap part, I cut my brilliant blue cs and then sponged the edges with more brilliant blue. Then I cut the black piece and used the slit punch to make the part that holds the flap closed. I used ballet blue then white. On the white I stamped canvas in boardering blue and then used the stamp from RIW. I stamped the bottom layer in ballet blue stamped off one, then the second layer in ballet blue full strength, for the top layer I stamped brilliant blue craft ink and then while it was still wet I poured on Irridescent Ice EP. I know, it is suppose to be manly, but I needed a little bit of glimmer..lol. DH loved it.
