So I was using Chris' tutorial to dry emboss without any of the actual tools (using a cereal box stencil and crochet hook: http://inkpad.typepad.com/from_my_in...box_sten.html). Once complete, I had a card made out of kraft paper with a little embossed frame. Do you think I could figure out what to do with it?
Once I decided on a stamp (which took forever), I kept thinking about what I could add...more cardstock? some DP? some eyelets? etc., etc. Believe it or not, this card took over an hour to make just because I would think, browse SCS, scour my stamp room (where there is no such thing as organization), think some more...you get my point. Yeesh...I think I am going back to layers, ribbon and embellishments with my next card!

LOL - Simple doesn't always mean 'fast' with us stampers! I love what you did with the square and the *coloring* of the sky and snow - it really came together VERY well... sorry it wasn't speedy, but a VERY nice card in the end!!
LOL - love your comments - been there done that!!! I have an awful time making simple cards - I'm never ever happy with mine - BUT - I really like the simplicity of your card - it really is effective. I keep looking at this set - by the time I decide to get it it's going to be retired. TFS!

The simplicity is stunning! I agonize sometimes about adding embellishments, but then a remember a presenter at Regionals who reminded us to just stop if we were having trouble placing one more stamp or embellishment. I think you stopped at the right time. TFS
