I have a funny story to tell about my version of this card. Being the extroverted stamper that I am, it could take many posts to tell the story. So the short version is as a result of this card, I sustained an injury during the Labor Day weekend. A BLISTER formed on my right index finger! I was so intrigued with the layering aspects of the card, that I just HAD to use all 4 stamps in the set in various light, medium and dark paper combinations while matching the ink to paper. Of course once the paper of the original combination was used, I had to scramble with the scraps to complete more cards. I just had too much fun, 31 cards later, a blister developed! One thing that I did do differently, (I think) was to use foam tape to raise the mediallion from the stripe. Also I didn't always use the light, medium, dark color of paper in same the color family, i.e. in one set of cards the background is maroon (which matches the ink color of the medallion), the light color was beige, and the medium color was forrest green, a jewel toned variation. So thank you very much for the inspiration, I had too much fun putting my twist on your original design!
