It was one year ago today that our precious golden retriever puppy, Winter, lost her battle with a rare and aggressive cancer that appeared seemingly out of nowhere. She was just 14 months old.
Winter joined our family in the midst of a fierce January blizzard, and she loved the snow, hence her name. But in the summer, she also enjoyed chomping on the flowers in my garden. I made this piece to honor her memory. She was deeply loved and is sorely missed.
The large sculpted rose is cut out of 6 layers. The little pink rosebud is a real dried rose, embedded in a thick layer of Glassy Glaze over the sentiment which reads, *Memory is the power to gather roses in winter.* The golden retriever head and the small roses are Polyshrink. Everything is popped up on Dimensionals. The layout is for the Sketch Challege 108.
Meadowpond MyTGold Winter Moon, *Winter*, R.I.P.
Thanks for looking.

What a wonderful way to pay tribute to your furbaby. They become such a precious part of our lives! This is beautifully done...love the large layered rose. I was amazed to find out it was paper!
