What a challenge to use only black and white for everything, with just one color of cs! What fun it was to stay within those boundaries. Thanks for stretching our creative minds, Jen! I had a blast!
And Beth, I'm so glad you brought back Julia's suggestion for the TLC100, the Doodle Bug challenge! I love doodling!!
Used glossy cs and stamped in black pigment ink then heat embossed with clear ep for the main image. Filled in the black fur with Twinkling H2O's China Black.
For the hearts at the bottom on the black cs, I first stamped them in white ink and then used white ep and heat set. Then I stamped the duplicate images with black ink on red cs and cut them out. I mounted them on pop dots but not directly over the white images so some white shows at the edges.
Sponged the edges of the white and black cs with white ink.
The photo doesn't show it, but the large white panel is ribbed glossy cs. Also, I really like the black base bcs the reverse is white, leaving it open for stamping and writing!
I put black mini brads inside the cut out hearts, and they are mounted on pop dots.
The white cloth ribbon was something I grabbed off a LaSenza bag! (I save anything and everything if I can incorporate it into a card!!)
I drew the doodles around the edges of the main image (and held my breath so I wouldn't muck it up!!).
Used a paper drill (Lee Valley) for the "piercing".
All stamps are from High Hopes.
Great challenges Jen, Beth and Julie!
