My daughter made this for me for Christmas - she stamped using classic ink on plain white tissue paper - this one uses Lovely as a Tree (Handsome Hunter) and the sentiment from Solemn Stillness (Real Red), and some random snowflakes (Bashful Blue and Brilliant Blue). She used sticky strip to adhere it and a string of 30 mini Christmas lights inside. The glass blocks were about $3-4 each at Home Depot and my hubby bought the diamond drill bit online somewhere (eBay), and said one will do about 12 blocks...

This is so gorgeous!!! I would love to make something like this for gifts for friends next year! I have a few questions, though, if you don't mind sharing...how big a hole is drilled into the block? Are all the lights just stuffed up inside? Is the stamped tissue paper adhered to the outside of the block?
Finally, are these stamp sets still available?
Wow, this is just absolutely gorgeous!!!!

The hole my hubby drilled is about 5/8 inch. The lights are stuffed inside although you can wire the lights and use a rod of some kind to place them rather than have them randomly up in there if you like. The stamped tissue is adhered to the outside of the block, so it has to be handled carefully - but since it is glass, it WILL be handled carefully
And, yes - all the stamp sets are still available from any Stampin up demo. (Email me - [email protected] - if you need help locating a demo and I'll get you pointed in the right direction!)
