I loved the December CK mag - it has a lot of fun ideas for creating gifts. So I tried my hand at a few of them. The first thing I tried was the tree - which is made with the Basic Grey Blitzen line (bought the pack at HL for 1/2 off...LOVE IT!). I had issues with the topper. It's really hard to wrap straight on a cylinder cone. I used pop dots to adhere it to the styrofoam as suggested in the mag - although I think they should have had better directions.
I painted the pot with SU! spots & craft refills - Bashful Blue, Bordering Blue, Old Olive. I did stamp a foam snowflake on the pot as well with a white craft pad. It was an accident how it ended up, but I was proud of it, as it matches the paper (IMO). Ribbon is DCWV adhesive ribbon, and I used some silver garlandy stuff I found at HL.
The Clock was also in the mag. I bought the clock parts at HL (it was by the register). I used the Basic Grey Blitzen line - there may be Dasher or Fruitcake in there as well. I also have a few KI Alpine stickers on there. JOY is Chip Chatter painted with Craft Spots & craft refills. Red I used Real Red, Ruby Red & Old Olive to try to dupe BGs looks. Blue letters are Bashful Blue & Bordering Blue. I heat gunned them dry because I'm impatient.
I haven't mod podged it, and am not sure I will as I don't like the brush look it gives when you put it on. I punched the hole for the clock with an eyelet setter.
This was fun and I'm keeping it for ME! I printed the picture at www.scrapbookpictures.com as they print odd sizes - the pic is 8X8. :-)

hahaha! I'm sooooo lame... I was looking at this while I was talking on the phone so I totally wasn't paying attention to the title or the notes that this post was actually for the clock! Anyway.... the clock is really cute too- both are great! :O)
