Why oh why do I do this to myself? I decided to use some of the extra patterned paper that I bought awhile back. And yes it really did look like ribbon. You know what would make it look more like ribbon, is to cut out around the scalloped edges and the holes. Well, most of that went ok except that I discovered my xacto knife is a wee bit dull and kind of broken. Things would have been so much easier if I had a hole punch. But I don't.
Now further details. I thought that the sketch would look cool with 3 tags and on chipboard would be even more fun. Almost amethyst with sponged on white ink basically matched the bluish colour in the patterned paper. I was very proud of myself for figuring that out. Used the classic Shapes and Shadows snowflake to stick with the snowflake theme. Stamped Let it snow for a quick phrase. Now because of my cutting job, the white was irritating me so I did go around some of it with black gel pen. I also used a sparkly black to go over the phrase and the cranberry snowflake. I thought the 'ribbon' would look more like ribbon if I bent the edges out. It also made it easier to tie the chipboard tags on.
Well, thar be my story. I hope you enjoy! Thanks.

You cut those holes...BY HAND!?! Amazing. This is such a gorgeous card. I love your chipboard tags, 'ribbon', and the white in the snowflakes. Seriously gorgeous!!!
