I'm not usually a caser, but I saw Atomic Butterfly's card for this week's colour Challenge (CC83) and shamelessly ran with her idea of the colourful flowers accented with black. I wanted to make a special card for my husband to give his daughter and the idea seemed perfect for a teenage girl. I like the way she used the black to make to not only make the colours pop, but also to give a little more mature edge to all the fun flowers. It also keeps it from being too "girly".
I realize the challenge uses regal rose, but I couldn't find it, so I used the closest I could find. I didn't have ribbon to match the colours, so I dyed some white ribbon to match.
The quote I used on the inside for this is "A daughter may outgrow your lap, but she will never outgrow your heart". Anyhow, you do it so much better, but thank you Atomic Butterfly for the inspiration! My husband loved the card I made for him (actually, I think he said something like "look at the card I made with my own 2 hands!" hah)
