Turtle Card (Technique - Heat Embossing)
This is another project that I've done since being inspired by a great Nature Prints card by Snellybelle Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
Thanks for all the tips Sue!
Use the chocolate Chip marker to ink only the turtle image and stamp onto the Very Vanilla C/S; Use the Always Artichoke Marker to ink only the fern image and stamp randomly (stamp 2-3 times and then re-ink and repeat); Use the chocolate chip craft spot to ink the turtle shell and stamp onto a scrap piece of vanilla c/s, then heat emboss with the clear embossing powder. Use the paper snips to trim and then try to round out the shell. I used the foam pad and the rounded end of the hammer from the crafter's tool kit to do this step.
Next, attach the shell to the card and color in the bare areas on the turtle using the Always Artichoke marker.
Use the sponges, stipple brush and color spritzer tool (with the markers) to add an aged look to the turtle as well as to the rest of the project.
Layer and attach the greeting, add the hemp...I think that's it! Time consuming, but worth it!
