I used ribbon along the edge to finish it off, and backed the entire back of the tile with a magnet cut the same size as the tile. I also used Crystal Effects to adhere the Dazzling Diamonds glitter. Worked well... no glitter is falling off!

I purchased a 'slab' of these tiles at Home Depot. I think there were 24 tiles (with 1X1 square tiles between the octagon shapes) for around $2.49!!! I'm making pins out of the 1X1 tiles, too. I also purchased a 'slab' of square tiles - the same number for the same price. I'm guessing at the count because I had a litle mishap... taking the tiles out of the toaster (after stamping on them with StazOn), I stepped to put them on the drying rack and one of our dogs was in the way and a bunch of tiles dropped to the floor and smashed. Scared the heck out of the dogs! So, I'm not 100% sure of the count, but that's around the number. Not bad for $2.49, huh?

I just used Sharpies to color in the tiles, after stamping with StazOn. I baked the tiles at 350 degrees for 20 minutes before coloring in. I've also baked tiles after I've colored them with Sharpies, but the color fades quit a bit. This is great if you want a more subdued color.
