Growing up, our oldest daughter spent hours upon hours on the ball diamond. She played fast-pitch and also umpired. She got noticed as a female umpire - and did not accept any nonsense from coaches or players. In turn, she was well respected as an umpire. In some small-town tournaments, she would come off a diamond from umping and rush to put on her uniform to go play. So, to her, diamonds were indeed a girl's best friend.
We now have two nieces who play competitively as a pitcher/catcher duo. I will complete a similar card and these will go to them as they are both having a great year.
I couldn't find any ball images in my stamp collection - shocking indeed! As a result I turned to Copilot and asked for help creating an image. After a few rather hilarious attempts, AI managed to come up with something suitable to print. I added the text, created a die-cut to resemble a ball diamond and layered those on a green base layer that was dry embossed with a diamond design.
Thanks for stopping by!
And it's one, two, three strikes you're out
