 | | I needed a special birthday card for my boss as it is a significant birthday. He happens to love, I mean LOVE, ice cream so that was an obvious theme.
I followed the steps in the twisted pop-up card tutorial found here on SCS: Twisted Pop-Up Card Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers Dina explains it so clearly.
I colored my focal image - with chocolate ice cream - with Copic markers and added several banners behind that panel. Inside I stamped my three ice cream cones using Chocolate Chip ink though it looks almost black here, Flirty Flamingo to represent strawberry ice cream, and mint macaron which can represent mint chocolate chip ice cream or pistachio or ...
I lightly sponged the cones and scoops with the same color to bring more color to the image. For the sentiment, I did some masking to get the sentiment to say "Celebrate your big day with ice cream."
The recipient has already received this card and really liked it.
