Linda here this week as your hostess for the color challenge. I chose darling duckling, balmy blue and granny apple green. Dessert-anything goes. These colors reminded me of the sweet little finches that come around the feeders. They change to a beautiful yellow this time of year. Watercolored a digi and added a few touches of my own. I embossed the shape with a die and silicone pad. Added the ribbon. Come join us and show us how you use these colors. TFL

You've used your finches as a beautiful muse to both pick this week's colors and to show them off to their fullest. I love the rich yellows on your sweet bird and the way it pops against that calm, lovely blue. Awesome card.

Linda, I always enjoy viewing your watercoloring, and I continue to learn from your creations. This American Goldfinch, state bird of Washington, is so pretty, and I love the floral background, too. Lovely card!

Really beautiful, Linda, and it does look like the golden finches. As of last year, we got a hawk and owl in the woods behind us and they have run all the finches off and just about all the birds. I could cry. Plus, I have seen two of each this year.....not good. I saw one finch this year at the thistle feeder. You did such a fabulous job on this beauty.

This finch is perfectly done Linda. You captured their color perfectly. We get a lot of them at our bird feeders. They haven't turned yellow yet, but it will happen soon.
