I followed Abigail's instructions for making my background though I had to modify it because I chose to use a texture plate. I wasn't sure I liked it so went ahead to make a different background which I used for my first card. I didn't sponge the edges or splatter this one.
I decided to make it into a birthday card so I stenciled a trio of candles and used the leaf trio punch to make the flames. I fussy cut the candles, stamped and heat embossed the sentiment fussy cutting it out. I popped the sentiment up with foam tape.
Thanks for the challenge and thanks for looking!

Your textured background creates a rich layered look that works beautifully with the trio of stenciled candles, and the way you shaped the flames with the leaf punch adds a clever touch while the embossed sentiment and the crisp fussy cutting give the design a polished finish that highlights the bold colors and festive energy of your birthday theme.
