My inner child couldn't resist MariLynn's MIX694 challenge today which was to create an image using thumbprints. I used the brightest distress inks I could find and made random prints on a scrap of white cardstock. To make it mixed media, I then used a fine-line black pen to doodle designs onto each thumbprint and add some stems and leaves. Doodling is not something that comes naturally to me. The result is a rather alien-looking bouquet.
This is a 4.25" square card simply because that's what worked with the scraps that I pulled out to use. I don't tend to make square cards so that also takes me out of my usual realm. The green matting layer was in a box of scrap pieces from previous cards.
Quick and fun and my thumb will likely take a few days for all the ink to disappear. Thanks for popping by.

I really like what you came up with, Heather! Your doodling looks Amazing! I think it's fun how the petals are not all the same size. Very creative, and your inner child got to come out and play today....how fun is that~
