So a little fact about me. I will sometimes paint the same thing over and over until I figure out how to make it work. My first couple of tries were just so flat. I tried adding shading and more pigment, more layers, colored pencils, complimentary under colors⦠what worked the best for me was giving up control. It seemed to me that the more I tried to paint it perfectly the less happy I was with the result. Finally I decided to go completely whimsical. Dr Suess flowers. The one in my art worship journal is my favorite.

I think Dr. Seuss is a really good comparison as well. I love the colors you chose for these and the ones that have the extra definition on the petals on the far lower right view a great deal

These are all beautiful and inspiring. I'm proud that you persisted and were able to achieve a creative flow. It's amazing what can happen when we give up control sometimes.
