Our sweet, kind-hearted Mac has asked her fellow Tea Potters to send some sunny cheer to her former church member, Jayne. Jayne recently moved closer to her daughter for some additional assistance but she is dearly missing her time at her beloved church as she settles into her new digs.
Jayne is a big Steelers fan so I took my inspiration from their team logo. And, I learned something new today: those "diamonds" are actually called hypocycloids. Who knew!
So I started with the sentiment which I typed using Tahoma and Cooper fonts. Since the Steelers logo is a circle with a white background and a gray ring, I did the same here but added the extra black circle for a bit of emphasis. The hypocycloids are the negative cuts from the Penny Black die. It's a cover plate so there are LOTS of hypocycloids floating on my desk right now. I had intended to make some type of bg with random placements, but no matter what I did it just didn't look good. So I scaled back to just the three in each corner in roughly the same arrangement as the logo. The card is a bit plain, but it's definitely Steeler-centric, so I think Jayne will be happy.
Moreover, I think she will be delighted with all your wonderful cards and notes letting her know that she's missed as well and still thought of often. I hope your day is filled with diamonds or hypocycloids or whatever brings a smile to your heart. TFL

What a great card and I love your verse on the front - it's perfect for the task at hand. I, too, learned something new. I won't remember it in 20 minutes but it's fun fact. LOL

OH MY ! Jayne will simply adore this card for sure. She had a little tool shed in her back yard and it was painted just like this !! You could see it way down the road.. it really stood out. When it started to fade, she'd have it repainted so it was perfect. Well done !! thank you for sending Jayne a card !

What a fantastic card this is! I love your hypocycloids (and thank you for learning me a new word, lol!), and the whole design of your card!
