 | | I won a giveaway from Altenew back in March and bought this Lily of the Valley die set with it. It's been sitting on my desk for a few weeks and I finally had a chance to use it this morning.
I found it a little trickier to assemble due to my cutting ALL the floral parts at one time so they got mixed together and not every piece had a keyhole to match up. So some of the flowers ended up in the "wrong" spots but I still like how it turned out.
I added a little shading to the bottom layer of each flower to create a shadow and added a few light green highlights on the flowers that weren't open. I like how it livened up the plain white die cuts. Also added a little ink blending on the leaves though I covered up a lot of it when I assembled the card.
The sentiment was stamped on the inside of my card and I used an oval die to cut a window in my card front. Then the lily of the valley were arched around the window to put the focus on the sentiment. |
