 | | This card is for the color challenge this week. Mary Wash challenged us with these lovely colors to create a floral card. I find this stamp set a bit challenging to line up, but love the end result. These images remind me so much of early spring blooms on bushes and trees. I always call early Spring petticoat season because the trees and bushes seem to put on pastel frilly petticoats of flowers that later turn into mature leafed trees, those soft flowers always makes me smile.. to create my flowers, I stamped a base of Petal Pink and then used stamped off Calypso Coral ink for the detail layer. I also stamped off the Pecan Pie ink for the branch. My leaves were stamped with Darling Duckling. I added a greeting and three small punched butterflies with penned flight trails. I accented the flower centers with rhinestones. I had a small spot on my white CS panel which I covered with a narrow strip of Petal pink and then added a small bow.
This is my last submission as guest designer this month but I will still be around as a participant. Come and join us with your own creations. The challenges are a great way to stretch your comfort zones and expand your skills! |
