 | | Congrats to our Featured Stamper jdmeeks aka Donna - she has a nice variety of cards in her gallery to inspire us today. I knew I found a winner when I came across this Reved Up Birthday as my grandson will quickly be turning 16!
Things I Changed: I did keep the basic color scheme but changed the silver embossing to light gray. Different embossing folder and car. Added die cut gears. Totally changed the layout to fit my additions
I love the EF Donna used but never acquired that one so started with the Darice Steampunk folder on gray for the mechanical look I wanted in the bg. I printed a digi sedan (much like the one my grandson will drive) and watercolored it. Once dry I decided to fussy cut that so it would be easier to place on my card.
The sentiment was computer generated to be more personal, die cut with a hexagon and sponged with crimson ink. I also die cut a variety of gears from iridescnt black metallic cardstock to use as filler with some bling since most guys are not into sequins or pearls - lol
Arranged and rearranged my pieces until I was happy with the layout then got everything glued tight to my basic gray mechanical bg. Always happy to get a teen boy card completed!!
