Went with a single layer, just embossing the card base with dies. I stamped the horse and hearts directly onto the card. Our niece is a good rider, but was at one time outstanding and would have probably represented Wales but a nasty fall and long recovery stopped that dream. She is however heavily involved with animals, as a vet, and still rides. This is for her birthday next month.

I have always struggled with one-layer cards so I truly admire anyone who can pull it off like this. It's great! Kudos to your niece for 'getting back in the saddle' after a nasty fall.

A great card for your niece (so sorry her riding career was messed up by an accident)! I was a rider but stopped when I turned 73 as I had a fall and thought it was time to protect my aging bones more. But I still spend time with horses as I volunteer for therapeutic riding for kids with disabilities. Love the way you embossed the card with dies to create a frame for the horse.
