 | | Mary M. is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and she has given us a dark-ish palette: Secret Sea, Cloud Cover, and Pretty Peacock. The dessert option is to use DS paper. I haven't been buying DS paper, and I have none in any of these colors, so no dessert for me!
When I make sympathy cards, I tend to shy away from bright colors and gravitate to darker, more subdued colors. So I took this challenge and used the colors for a sympathy card. I added the equivalent of Blackberry Bliss as a neutral. I started out by using silver foil and a "Foil-it" to outline the leaves, then used a four-layer stencil set to color the leaves. Added a sentiment and a few gems, and it was done.
I'm eager to see what everyone does with the challenge this week! Come join us!
