 | | Congrats to Dani aka Dells Dani on being this week's Featured Stamper. I went back to your early days with SCS where I came across this RAK Welcome card.
Things I changed: Orientation, Welcome to Christmas, retangular framing to hexagonal, roses to poinsettia plus added a sentiment & gems instead of ribbon.
I liked the simplicity of this card and thought it might convert nicely to a Christmas design. My original plan was to squeeze down the framing into a square, then saw my hex dies (which I rarely use) and decided to go with that instead.
I die cut the hexagons from vanilla and used some of the scraps to cut the poinsettia layers. I sponged both the petals and frame with DOX worn Lipstick, since none of my pink cardstock matched the Ink. Built my flower and added some ruby stickles for a center. I attached this just inside the frame and tucked in pine boughs as filler.. I stamped a simple sentiment in the Lipstick and added a sprinkling of itty bitty pink gemstones.
I'm really happy with the way this turned out . . . .
