I stamped the image first then made a mask to make my strip of blended ink. But then I realized it didn't look right so I took each strip on each side, placed them down, then inked up the middle of the strips and that worked!! I deccided not to color the mouse and just colored the flowers underneath with blending brushes and also did the bees that way to keep a soft look to it. I added Stickles glitter to the bee's wings. Not sure if it shows up here.
This is going to a friend soon turning 85 and her son is a bee-keeper. Plus, who doesn't love House Mouse?

Totally fun! Love that this is going to someone whose son is a beekeeper.

This is a new to me HM image - so cute and how very appropriate for your friend. Love the little peek of garden flowers on the lower edge.

Hi Sherri Thanks for selecting one of my cards to play along in this week's FS. Love what you created with those adorable mice being carried by those honey bees! SO cute. We were Dirty Dozen pals a few years back and I always enjoyed your creations.

Oooo, I LOVE house mouse, Sherri! I’ve seen this type of mouse hanging onto a butterfly, which totally would suit Claudette’s husband’s penchant for them, but WOW, this little bee brigade is new to me as well, and how wonderful they are for your purpose. I love how you kept the pastel swatches and blended your flowers to suit.

The soft ink‑blended strip works beautifully here, especially with the way you echoed those pastel tones in the flowers and bees. Leaving the mouse uncolored keeps the whole scene airy and lets the blended panel do the visual lifting. The little touches of shimmer on the wings add just enough sparkle without breaking that gentle look.
