 | | For the Color Challenge hosted by Barbara. Her fabulous color choices are Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight, Gorgeous Grape and Poppy Parade. The dessert option is to use a die-cut or punched item.
I started by making my own plaid paper. In the Tutorial section here on SCS, there is one called Plaid Backgrounds. It has always inspired me. I started my plaid by stamping Buffalo Check in Poppy Parade. Then, I used the Mis-t ruler by My Sweet Petunia to draw lines in the challenge colors. I used Daffodil Delight blends and Gorgeous Grape & Coastal Cabana Stampin Write markers. I created a quarter sheet of the plaid, which I cut down for my card design. I have more to use later.
Next, I stamped the row of dogs. I left the dogs themselves uncolored or white. I colored in the other areas using the challenge colors and then die-cut the image. I decided to use a strip of Coastal Cabana for the dogs because it reminded me of dogs playing in the grass. I stamped a sentiment from the stamp set in black. Final touches were a couple enamel shapes and a red twine bow.
Fun color combo to work with! I look forward to seeing what YOU create. TFL |
