I stamped and watercoloured the Fuchsia and then fussy cut it. The background frame was cut from the linen card and the centre panel was then die cut. Sequins were added. My card is for my cousin Jean who lost her husband Noel yesterday. I went to their wedding when I was two and a half. We spent many holidays visiting them growing up and Fuchsias were something Noel grew beautifully. The card of jaydekay that I used to inspire this one is this one CAS379 Poppy Swirl by jaydekay at Splitcoaststampers

I applaud your fussy cutting skills with all those tiny stems! But definitely worth all the time you spent on it as the result is just beautiful - This is a truly lovely card and one that is sure to mean the world to your cousin Jean.

The soft watercolour work on the fuchsia is so elegant, and the way you lifted it forward with the crisp linen frame gives the whole piece a quiet, heartfelt presence. The delicate stems and petals look beautifully shaped after all that careful fussy cutting, and the sequins add just enough light to keep the design open. A thoughtful, graceful tribute that carries both memory and artistry.
