For my card, I just happened to have quite a few pieces of SU's Really Rust paper, so I used that for my card base. I also still have the matching ink to stamp the sentiment, and... the StampinWrite marker!!! All ... a blast from the past!! I stamped the Your Next Stamp packages & colored all the bows with the SU Really Rust marker. The packages are colored with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers in various colors. My dear DIL will be 50 in August & this stamp set just caught my eye, so I went with it. I will be like my friend, Anne, & send her a card everyday of her birthday week. I did that for my son when he turned 50. My hope is I don't forget I already have this card made!!!!

So glad we could inspire you to use some dusty rust(y) stash items, Karen. Love your color scheme and it is a lovely birthday card. I love that paper color! Hugz

The Really Rust base gives this such a warm, nostalgic feel, and it pairs beautifully with the bright, cheerful packages. The mix of alcohol‑marker coloring with the matching SU accents pulls everything together so cleanly. The story behind the card adds even more charm, and this design will make a perfect start to her birthday‑week celebration.

LOL, I remember totally forgetting that I had an anniversary card made for my DH one year. Now I keep early cards together in one specific location. Very stylish CAS design.
