I watched the video, started like the Artist water coloring the bg and lifting paint with a tissue, then painted the flower shapes, didn't like it so took my ink pen and gel pens and made it a doodled design, stamped a Mother's Day sentiment, and splattered a bit around.

Fantastic painting and you are great with the pen and ink on your paintings. It is a neat way to paint a background, I thought. Thanks for sharing.
