Spring Tulips

CAS889 = Think Spring

I created a smooshed background with various yellow and orange Distress inks. Then stamped the image in Walnut Stain and heat embossed it. With a paint brush and bleach, I lifted the colour from the tulips. When dry, I added a bit of Candied Apple ink to the bases of the tulips.

I trimmed the panel and mounted it on fun foam on a text embossed background, and added a small sentiment.

The soft wash of yellows and oranges gives the whole panel such a warm spring glow, and the bleach work on the tulips creates beautiful contrast without losing that gentle feel. The touch of red at the bases adds just the right depth. The text‑embossed background is a perfect pairing for the vintage mood, and the fun‑foam lift keeps the focal panel crisp and clean.
