ABC24F6 - Happy birthday
Added to Favorite

Photo Details
Poster: Renata Joyner

This week for the Alpha Challenge Letter F, I used one of my FAVOURITE colours (I have many favourites!), in this case, peachy salmon. This ancient Japanese origami paper I've had for decades is shot through with gold swirls and splatters, and printed with dragonflies in ecru. I die-cut the daisy petals and centre pieces from old envelope scraps, assembled them, and placed them in a grid. The birthday text is from a series of useful phrases that I made myself. I print the sheets out, and just die-cut what I need.

Pretty! Peachy-salmon is a nice color to show off the daisies.

This is so lovely! Thank you for the idea of how you put the sentiment sideways. I always wanting to that because of not wanting to put it across the focal image. Great card, Renata.

Oh wow, so creative making those flowers and I love your salmon pink background with the gold in it! Love your design with the sentiment on the side like that!

Well done on using that Japanese paper. I find it so hard to break into my supply. We used to like going to the gift shop in the Japanese Cultural Centre in Paris to buy some. Your daisies are beautiful, such great texture in them.

Love your little daisy centres and all that texture on the petals. Your mention of the origami paper reminds me that somewhere in my stash I have the most gorgeous Japanese paper that an SCS friend sent me ages ago - I've always thought it was too pretty to cut but if I don't use it, who will?

(Note: I tried to explain how I do my digital scenes on my recent cat card upload but don't know if it will make any sense to you.)

Renata, I love how you created your flowers from old envelopes, what an unique idea using what you have. I love the cut stars for your flower centers. It all goes so well with your Origami paper.

This is stunning, especially considering how you've recycled some of the elements into the finished piece. It is beautiful!
