I'm making more cards for my Ronald McDonald House project. Wanted some birthday cards that weren't just for kids or too flowery for a guy. Came up with this. I know there's no stamping involved but, I can create a lot of cards quickly and get a good variety when I use digital images.
I used images from an Etsy purchase called Whimsical Party Animals. They came precoloured so I can't even take credit for colouring them. I was asked on a different card what I do to create my scenes. The files in this set were all png files so they are easier to manipulate than jpegs. The front of the card is two different images - I added balloons from a third image and flipped one of the cats. I use photo editing software to add/resize the different images until I like the placement. Did a Google search for ideas for a sentiment and added it from within the editing program.
Sadly, the photo editing program that I used for twenty years gave up the ghost on me a couple of years ago so I am relearning on Corel PaintShop Pro. Old dog, new tricks - but it's slowly becoming easier to adapt.
Thanks for stopping by. :-)

Ha! This made me laugh! Your cats are so cute! My cat was trying to make me go to bed a few minutes ago, but he has given up on me since I’m sitting here making comments!

SO fun...and cute! I admire your technological abilities. Undoubtedly, your cards are most appreciated. Got a giggle from the first one ....showing the cat's independence nature. : )

Amen to the cat sentiments! And so very true, lol. Thank you for taking the time to explain your process. Someone else pm'd me also after I asked in the comments of another of your cards, and gave a brief explanation, so I do understand it all now, thanks so much! It's a very effective cardmaking technique, I must say! 😊

Such a fun and clever design. The way you combined and flipped the images gives the scene so much personality, and those balloon additions pull everything together beautifully. The sentiment lands perfectly with their expressions, and the clean layout keeps the focus right where it belongs. A great example of how effective digital layering can be.

A great card - the sentiment made me laugh! Love the looks on the cats' faces - they look quite annoyed to have to be wearing party hats and celebrating!
