WT1094 Open Book
Added to Favorite

Photo Details
Poster: sue28

This card is for the WT Challenge - Back to Black in honour of Johnny Cash.
I stamped the open book, coloured using Copics pens and fussy cut. Coloured the edges of the book/pages with a gold glitter pen and cut out and adhered the script Dp to the open pages. Adhered to the black c/s using Dimensionals and placed this old antique Brad to the centre of the book. I blended Rusty Hinge ink over the bg script paper. I stamped the sentiment and backed onto black c/s.

I love cards with books because I love books. This is a great one, Sue. I love your book image and how you colored it up. The black panel behind looks great. Super birthday card. Hugz

Sue, your black panel really pops your book forward and gives it a stunning 3D effect. You did such a fabulous job on that book. It has such a realistic feel. How perfect is all that script work. Gorgeous card.

Wow, love the dimension and realism you've created. The edges of the pages are especially effective.

I thought at first the book was a matching stamp and die - great fussy-cutting, and the gold edging to the pages is just perfect.

The dimension on your open book is striking, especially with the gold-edged pages catching the light. The way you blended the Rusty Hinge over the script background adds warmth that plays so well against the black panel, and that antique brad anchors the whole design with a vintage feel. The fussy cutting is so clean it gives the book a sculpted presence, and the script paper on the pages pulls the theme together beautifully.

I love your book. Even though I can't read any more of the pages, it's a very fun card.
