Good enough. That's my motto and that's what I think these flowers are. You know my technique of slapping color on the paper and hoping for the best. There was a lot of hoping in this card and I think it worked out pretty well. The blobs look like flowers, but there is none of that detail that the tutorial had. I just don't have that in me. I also really didn't feel like sketching flowers, so I found a stamp that had a good shape--SU Petal Prints. I stamped that in Antique Linen DOX to use as a guide. I cut my piece of watercolor paper in half and made two paintings. I actually think the other one came out better, but I'm saving that for my sister's birthday card. This will go in my sympathy card stash. I've really been working on using up my backgrounds. I don't even remember when I made this one. It's been sitting in the drawer for a very long time, because it's boring. But boring worked well here. I did stamp a bit of text background and splatter some shimmer spray for interest. And my small sentiment strip felt a bit too small, so I added a bit of glitter paper behind it. That was a tiny bit of scrap that I saved and I'm so glad I did. Isn't it so satisfying when you can use up every bit of your supplies?

This is soooooooo pretty, Jen. I love how your flowers came out - I wish I had done mine like that! The background is perfect for this (not boring in any way) and the little glitter strip under the sentiment gets you a gold star for sure. LOVE this card. Can't wait to see your sister's birthday card. Hugz
