 | | I painted this for my friend Jody, whose husband died suddenly in November. There were some health issues but it really was a difficult death. I've been meaning to send her a card more frequently.

I hadn't done the mountains/hills WT yet; when I saw this dress, I thought 'that's what I want to do for hills.' Just random bumps, mounds and colors. I would like to put a road/path through the hills but I'm not sure how to do it. Probably should have drawn that first. I outlined all the hills with black pen. Wisconsin doesn't have mountains, unless you could Rib Mountain, which is a ski hill in the middle of the state.
I love the sentiment because 1) I love the song (from Carousel, the musical) 2) it is the theme song of one of my favorite drum and bugle corps, the Madison Scouts.
