This is actually a Sizzix shadow box set, that creates a little hexagonal shadow box - having made three of them, I donât really need another but I have found the set works quite well just for layering inside a hexagonal window. Itâs cut from scraps of card. I cut an aperture in my base and stamped the Verve sentiment in Versafine Clair jungle green. After assembly it looked a little stark, so I added something from Timeless Textures and Gorgeous Grunge in soft colours. I have a hexagonal set of Spellbinders, and I would have thought a geometric shape was a geometric shape but the next size up didnât seem to match to make the frame, so I simply made that by cutting another hexagon aperture in a small piece of white card, and then trimmed along each edge to create a frame. Because of the bulk from layering my purple-headed mountains, I used foam in between my aperture layer and the base.
